Creative Gigaworks T20

Creative Gigaworks T20

Great sound without subwoofer. Great sound but expensive.

Good bass, clear sound.

Decrease in performance at high volumes, exorbitantly priced.

The Design

The speakers look like they've been bred for performance: they're thin, but comparatively speaking, have more depth than that of any other 2.0 system I've seen before. The build quality is top-notch; the face has a grey gloss finish, while the rest of the set has a neat matte finish. A fabric mesh is featured on the speakers, but actually, the speakers look much better with the mesh taken off.

Each speaker has two drivers -- a large driver handling the lower and midrange frequencies while a tiny tweeter is for the highs. The speakers have the same BassXPort as on the Creative I-Trigue 2300 set we reviewed earlier. While the BassXPort is situated at the rear on the I-Trigue 2300, on the T20, it's a roof-firing BassXPort.

The Creative Gigaworks T20 is priced at $99.99 in the U.S. You can get it even at $80 from some sites. I feel it 's outrageous that we are paying almost double the original price, here in India. And we were supposed to be a third world country! hah!

No my friend.......Logitech does not match creative.......... In my hostel..we have both high ends of each..creative has a better taste with its sound card

Vinneth, I agree that a creative speaker perform very well with a creative sound card. If you take a laptop, logitech does a good job with delivering very good sound. with a PC i myself own a creative sbs 270 (low end) and a creative sound blaster. The sounds at certain definitely beats some of the speakers

review says that mx5021 is the most powerful 2.1 system. I disagree with that, I have a logitech z2300 thx speakers & it much more powerful. There are even better systems than logitech.

These are hopelessly over priced speakers in India. Even at international price of $ 80 -only fools will buy this- wise ppl will buy Altec Lansing ATP3 for 3k for far superior sound experience. And if I had 6.5k to spare the money will be invested in Altec Lansing MX5021E Speaker the best 2.1 speaker set.

@Frazier Barretto Specification seems to be wrong. 50HZ - 20HZ? dont you think it should be 20KHZ in place of 20HZ. Then, it's the company who is fool to launch these speakers in that price range. A top notch 2.1 or a decent 5.1 can be acquired in that price range. Seems to be useless product.

best 2.0 speakers...i dont think so... i wud llike some one review the audioengine a2..

I used to love Creative products. But after my horrible experience with Creative X-Fi platinum, I would never buy a Creative product again. I wasted 13.5k on Creative X-Fi Platinum it has already been replaced under warranty once now again it has stopped working. How can a company be so irresponsible with its products. They should initiate a recall on all the X-Fi cards. The forums are filled with X-Fi complains.

hey frazier, please carry out reviews of top-notch 2.1 speakers (fx4021, x-2300 and z-4)... thr arent many reviews of that category apart from a 5-year old review of mx5021

adimax24 | Hyderabad | 18/04/08 12:06 AM | Report abuse Reply

at 7k one wud a maniac to go for 2.0 speakers... when one can buy a top-notch 2.1 for the same price...
