hi . i have philips dvd player model no. DVP 3166 AND intex 5400 (5.1) channel sepakers. I want to know that how can i operate all speaker at dvd mode. There is mode of pro log in intex in this mode all the speaker will work expect the woofer , wofeer is work but in low bass, can u send me the connection and setting of the iteam i.e. the player and the speaker at my email id so that i cant easily ply my dvd player in dvd mode of speaker. If you're on to High end Audio then go for Denon kinda stuffs if you don't mind spending... Cambridge Soundworks also has some Good products if you're inclined to creative family...

I brought creative 5.1 speakers recently and I connected the three cables from the woofer to the cpu but i found that only the center pin of the cpu is producing sound and as a result only two of the speakers are working along with the woofer and the remaining three speakers are not working.can anyone help in this regard? do this speakers require any sound cards?

Believe me guys S750 is the best ever multimedia surround speakers till date. M a dreaded fan of Creative... and that too THX certified.... My combination with PC is: Extigy 5:1 sound card, DDTS-100 decoder, and S750 7:1 speakers.... I will disable decoding in Extigy and it will just act as a 5:1 sound card. I can now use this combination for my PC and also my laptop as Extigy has USB connectivity. All three I got all frm US and Singapore. Extigy for 7k, DDTS for 4.6k, and S750 for 17k and I am all set to rock with Air Force1 and Gladiator DVDs.

In India, you can order any creative dealer to get you S750, but here it will cost arnd 35000/-. I am getting S750 from US and it costed me just 17k ($379) by ordering online.

hi, this speakersystem sounds real nice. And im on the verge of buying it aswell. I just need one answer. You said that this system lacks in hardware components. That it doesnt have a dolby decoder etc. Can i fix this by using a sound card that has the decoders? It would really be worthless to be sitting there with zero surround just because the system uses a dolby decoder. pls answer quickly

You can buy an external decoder of Creative. It is about 160-180$ and you can connect any AV device with it. It provides 4 optical ports Coaxial and stereo. You can use Creative SB audigy 2 Zs pro to help S750 perform better(Adigy2 Zs pro have an internal decoder competible with Dolby digital...). and It really works. I use AUdigy 2 zs pro + Creative 5700d

yes you can.. but you will have to buy a Creative DDTS-100 as the interface between your DVD player and the S700. Remember the DDTS-100 is a Dolby/DTS decoder and you'll get awesome sound when you play DVD's.

Hi frnd, I am very much interested in buying this product, Right now I am having Creative 5.1 speaker system and that too is very good but I am interested in upgrading it to 7.1 I live in Ranchi and will be very thankfull for your urge reply....

You say "there are clip-on connections behind the satellites, giving an option to extend the wire length or changing the default set of wires" ..... but fail to mention the speaker wires are some kind of custom single RCA to bare end cable. I've looked everywhere for some way to replace the crappy high guage, easily broken (and low sound quality) speaker wires that came with this system, but it doesn't seem to exist. THAT is the biggest downside of these speakers. The sub should use standard clips (like the satellites) instead of single RCA jacks. Had I know I would be unable to replace the speaker wire with GOOD wire (IE 12 or 14 gauge monster cable) I woulnd NOT have bought these speakers. The instant Klispch makes a 7.1 system I'll never touch Creative again..... (Note: If someone DOES know how to replace these cables please post how!))
