A few weeks ago, we had reviewed Bose's in-ear headphones; they were nice, but what took them off an average budget buyer's shopping list was their over-the-top price tag; at the end of the day, a consumer is looking for value for money. Today, let's take a look at Creative's EP-630 in ear headphones, which are similar to Bose's in-ear headphones in many ways, but carry a considerably lower price tag. But the question remains, are they good enough?

Design The EP-630 are In-Ear Noise Isolation Earphones - they don't just sit outside your ears, they actually push and settle right in your ear. There are two major advantages of this type of design; first is that they don't easily fall out of your ears, especially during activities akin to jogging, unlike standard ear-bud type headphones. But more importantly, with the headphones pushed deep into your ears, you cut out a lot of background noise (techy term Noise Isolation).

For instance, if you've ever traveled in the "canned tuna locals" of Mumbai using standard headphones, you will know that you can hardly hear your music over the sound of the train. You will have no such problem with the EP-630; no matter how loud things might get on the train, you'll be able to hear your music clearly and you won't even have to crank the volume up to the top for the experience. Similarly, you could enjoy pure music in places like noisy markets, etc. When it comes to design, Creative's EP-630 are a cut above the Bose in-ear headphones. The headphones are very small, with an attractive rounded finish to them. The black and silver detailing makes them ideal to use with the PSP or a black MP3 player.
