Corsair Flash Voyager 4GB and 16GB

Corsair Flash Voyager 4GB and 16GB

Here's a combo of performance and sturdiness in a tiny package. Looking at this drive may give you a feeling of Deja Vu, but its capacity certainly won't.

Amazing read speeds, Sturdy build quality, Water/Dust/Shock resistant, Compact and Cool.

Average write speeds, Rubber body gathers dust and lint.

I still remember the days when we used floppy drives to take our projects to school. Neatly made PowerPoint presentations were just about the only thing we could fit in them. Later on we got to see one of the first 16 MB thumb drives, which was simply fascinating to look at and the fact that one was able to fit so much data in such a small thing, at that time atleast. Nowadays, that figure is negligible. We can't imagine having a flash drive any lower than 1 GB. Seeing how fast storage technology is progressing, 1GB will seem like a floppy drive in the coming years. Speaking of which, Corsair has launched 4 GB and 16 GB models of their Flash Voyager Series. Let us see what they bring to the table.

About

Corsair has always been prominent in the memory products market. They're well known for their higher clocked, low latency, enthusiast grade RAM modules. If there is anything common amongst Corsair products, it has to be their lust for speed. Almost every product of theirs is quicker than the standard ones available in the respective categories and the 2 portable drives we got today aren't any different. We've already reviewed their 2GB Model. However, before we proceed to the benchmarks and results, let us learn more about the product and the bundle.

The 80 GB External HDD is worth just Rs. 2500 today, i bought one from nehru place Ansun Electronics. An the casing is for Rs. 150/- only. The HDD has a 5 yr warranty , i think that's a better deal.
