Last time we took a look at what Chrome did, today we see just how much of an incentive do you get with Google's Chrome
Last time we took a look at what Chrome did, today we see just how it does all that it does and if it can deliver a usable experience despite being in beta. But, it would be unfair to compare Chrome to the main versions of the other browsers, betas aren't generally compared with fully matured software so all comparisons will be made between it and the unstable, in development versions of the major browsers so let's start and see how it does against the main competitors of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera.
Chrome (Beta)
What was the hoopla about using the address bar for doing the searches in chrome. Today i typed some terms in the address bar(accidently.. :) ) ... And it did the search for me. it was then that i searched for the the same and realised that it is the default behavior on most of the browsers(yes even in IE). I am feeling like the last person to know about this already. So wouldnt drag my humiliation too much.. But it surely makes me feel that Google did not do anything revolutionary using the address bar for search. Because thats the feeling that most of the reviews of chrome were giving me....

there is no customization in Chrome, no plugins to choose from. Also yahoo and few other crashed. Inbuilt opening Acrobat document crashes and slows down heavily. All above things happned with chrome, Firefox works like charm xcept the memory issue over long run.

I completely agree with the view of the writer. Eventually which browser we use depends on convenience and familiarity with the interface. I personally have Firefox, Chrome and IE installed on my system. And IE is used solely for its compatibility with many sites that fail to respond in other browsers(Yes i think the monopoly of IE initially has made many a designers design their sites accordingly). Chrome has made it mark with its search capabilities and better interface(read single bar and more space on the screen). However firefox still continues to be the mainstay more so because of its plugins and familiar interface.

I dont think I need to specify anything other than what Anant has mentioned above.. exactly read out my mind... and I guess that would be the general phenomenon with a mid level common end user as well.. :)
