Canon IXUS 970 IS
Sudeep Naik, Oct 28, 2008 1104 hrs IST
If you need a compact digital camera with a long zoom, the Canon IXUS 970 IS is worth a look
Optical Image Stabilization, 5x optical zoom lens, Face Detection, Good image quality, Good macro area and quality.
Inaccurate optical viewfinder, Awkward Control Dial and On/Off button, Noise suppression softens the pictures, Expensive.

Use of AA size batteries would have been a better option, particularly in places without electricity, low voltage, etc. Yes. It seems to be slightly overpriced
