Very good ,exhaustive review, Sudeep. But I think the sellers need to knock Rs3000/- off the price. As one reader says, I'd rather go for the sony handicam.

There is an important point which is conveniently omitted by most digicam makers and reviewers is the power of flash. Most cameras have teles but the range is pathetic and people end up with black faces. Amateurs may not understand guide no comarison but there has to be methodology. Notwithstanding, Canon cameras are user friendly and feature rich.
a) had a glance through the review. it is quite good with sample pictures.
b) always had a doubt that why do we really require that high mega pixels. I believe 4-5 MP is more than sufficient for everyday use unless you wanted to blowup you girlfriend's photo to fill your room.(any google search will take you to sites which say for A4 size or so 5MP is more than sufficient).
c) Secondly if it is Optical zoom .vs.MP I vote for higher Optical zoom since digital zoom is not really zoom as it is at the cost of quality.
d) wonder why A630 requires 4 cells where as all other 540,530 etc use 2 cells. But for the MP there is not much difference.
Any comment?
