Build & Design

The COWON O2 is available in three color options of which we received the white one. The O2 is light and pretty slim. It is comfortable to hold and is lightweight. The build of the O2 looks good but feels like it can take a scratch any time.

The face of the O2 employees a 4.3-inch screen that has 16M color TFT and a 480x272 pixel resolution. The screen of the O2 is brilliant images appear sharp and crisp. Color reproduction is also good but only indoor under sunlight the legibility is very poor.

The right side has an ON/Off/Standby switch that also doubles up as a Hold switch. There is also a MIC for recording audio. At the end on the right side is the lanyard eyehole where you attach the lanyard, which also doubles up as a stylus.

The stylus has more to it than what meets the eye. Just like the D2 the stylus of the O2 also turns into a stand. Here it's a bit more tough with one side of the stylus having a rubber coating. The other side has a flip that opens with grooves. The flip opens to a decent viewing angle and you place the O2 on it and have a pleasant viewing experience.

it rocks i have had the o2 for as long as its been out and i love it except it wont play music from itunes

The prices can never really be the same in any 2 countries due to their tax structures, import duty, dollar valuations etc..today the dollar is much higher than what it used to be 2 months back. We try and offer you the best possible prices in the market. We will introduce the 4gb model as well, however the price difference between 4gb and 16gb wont be much. our official website www.cowonindia.in will put up an introductory price for S9 for pre-booking very soon. Cowon also has only country specific warranty policy. Therefore we cannot offer warranty to goods purchased from out of India. Anyway, we hope to provide you with the best services. We will also offer the 16gb at an excellent price for pre-order.

hi, Cowon S9 should be out by this month end or so. We will release the 8gb and 16gb models mostly. Pricing will be available soon..!

Why not make it available in 4gb version as well coz most of the people (including me) would like to get their hands on this fabulous produst, but the pricing makes it difficult. Also, I suppose make this version available will allow an alternative to the dominating Applie iTouch. The 4gb version would be picked by people that want to but can go for touch coz of its pricing. So, better in both cases.

Also, would the pricing of Cowon S9 be similar to that in USA or in UK? There is a lot of difference between too. Making the pricing similar to US makes sense coz the shipping cost should turn out almost the same (maybe lower). UK pricing can be however coz of its higher shipping costs from China or Korea. Sir, please consider making it well priced and bringing in the 4GB version of S9.

Cowon A3 provides TV out cable, S-video and Davinci chipset all making it a powerhouse..O2 is our first attempt to offer flash technology in PMP large format with a full touch screen interface and excellent AV quality.. Its an extension of the D2 in someways.. Samir, I would suggest you have a look at the Cowon A3 to satisfy your TV out requirements, Multi-codec support, outstanding screen resolution all this at a price much lower now.! Watch out for our new release, S9 which will incorporate an AMOLED screen and many new features..!

WTF you talking about that it's better than Zen Vision :W? Last time I checked the Zen Vision W INCLUDES all the TV OUT cables in the box. Just the downfallf off Vision W is that...It doesn't have wide range of Video/Audio CODEC Support. But tell me which sane person needs so many codecs anyway the crap you get on torrents most is XVID/MP3. Lately MP4 but you can always convert that. XVID makes up 98% off torrent movies. Same with MP3 it's more 99%. Only Vision W has 262K color screen instead off 16.7 mil. but it at least it works in sunlight & it has a matte finish instead off glossy. Resolution is same ONE MORE THING I FORGOT!! HEY the dumb nuts AT CREATIVE HAVE DISCONTINUED VISION W! can you freaking believe that WAY TO GO CREATIVE who wants your crappy X-Fi player anyway. BRING BACK OLD CREATIVE!
