Key Game Aspects

The game stands out in a number of ways -- the combat, the visuals, sound, and especially the story. The previous two games in the series bonded the gamer to the plot really well; the missions were filled with loads of WWII action but at the same time, featured a lot team work. Most WWII games focused on the run-and-gun methodology; BIA, on the other hand, featured a lot of team work.
When confronting an enemy in BIA, a big red circle appears over their head. When you shoot at the enemy, the circle starts to change into a pale grey, indicating that the enemy soldier is suppressed and cannot fire back. When the soldier is suppressed, you can order your team mates to flank the enemy and finish them off. The first I time played the game, I was mesmerized by this feature and found it practical and cool at the same time.

This feature is also there in
Hell's Highway. You can suppress the enemy and flank them. The new additions will include better AI, which will make a lot of difference. A new cover system is in place in
BIA: Hell's Highway. Although we are used to playing behind cover after games like
Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas, cover system plus the suppression system will make a great combination. In BIA, the type of cover you get behind also makes a difference: you can take cover behind an empty wooden barrel but it will easily disintegrate under a barrage of MP40 bullets. The same goes for the enemy as well: you can shoot and destroy their cover, if they take cover behind a weak object. The Squad AI is supposed to be much better now and follow commands even more accurately. The squad plays a very important role in BIA, even in the presentation.
The game is all about presentation. Every BIA game that I have played till date has always had better cut scenes, realistic visuals, and a background score that could rival major Hollywood productions! This time around, the presentation has been kicked up a notch.
