Simple setup, Good sound Overall, Clear highs & mids, Universal remote.
Bass lacks punch, No Settings at all, Suitable only for average-size rooms.
Bose is a brand-name that is synonymous with home theater systems; these involve their famous satellite speakers for superior sound that require precision arrangement.
Now, not everyone wants to get into the technicalities of the sound matters, and for such everyone, Bose has a basic home theater option that is simple to kick-start, and not so basic in its output quality. It's called the Bose CineMate Digital Home Theater Speaker System.
The reason they cant publish the specs are coz BOSE generally doesnt publish its spec. Further why is a review confused with buyingl Cant one read about the latest Fiat 500 launched which is costing 17 lacs but how many of us cud afford that or for that matter Iphone which was launched @30k in India. However, knowing about the product helps! IMO, bose is a piece of shit if u were to compare the professional system that u wud get for a similar price. I own a bose myself and I also own silver series of monitor speakers along with marantz cd player & amplifier. My professional set up beats bose hands down.

Best 2.1 Speakers? Logitech z2300 by far.

Totally agree boss.... no other 2.1 speaker can match the thump. And its not only the thump but the speaker is also able to generate crisp mids anf highs so that makes it verastile. Just wish they had a wireless remote too, so that i could control the volume sitting far away! But if you want something lesser yet very good, go in for the Altec Lansing MX5021, they are really awesome too!

I do not see many (ANY) TT readers buying a 37k speaker system. Cmon guys- U want to push Bose Brand!~ we r bombarded with one Bose review after another!- would it not be better to review something more useful to readers like Altec lansing & Creative Speaker systems!!!!

There are a lot of people who are Audiophiles. They would burn a hole in their pocket as long as they get good sound. Well there are people out there who are Phone phreaks and would probably spend 20K - 40K on a cell phone and they know its gonna get redundant in a couple of months. So paying 35K for a good quality set of speakers is not asking for too much It's like Car magazines they'd review a Porche or a Bentley. How many people can afford that. And as far as Creative, ALtec, Logitech, Kiplsch. They've got speakers in a similar price band as well.

Well for once I am with the Techtree guys.I mean they are reviewing the Bose brand frequently , but its not like they are giving it good reviews also.Its more like putting the speakers to proper scrutiny. And I believe investing in good speakers is a good thing.The market price of the speakers guys down very little over time , and they are the least succesptible to damage ....lasting well over the life of 2 sets of computers. I would like to see some Onkyo's on test too.Not strictly computer speakers but they might be a good thing to review.What say Techtree?

Actually there are a lot of people who are Audiophiles who have expendable cash and who are even dumb enough to buy this system. Its nice to invest in an excellent sound system but with 37K you can get a sweet deal with an Onkio or a cheaper Yamaha AV receiver, where U have multiple audio and video inputs, and a host of other features, and combine with good Polk ,Jamo or Yamaha Floor mount speakers. I don't see wats the fuss over this system. So wat if its a BOSE. Big deal. !! As for the TT guys ur review dosent even give proper specs like Frequency response and THD, RMS values etc. And on wat basis has the review been carried out ?? Sound systems always sound different to different ears on different audio genres nd the best way is the mix and match different receivers with different speakers to get the right personal feelin. Frankly this is just fancy expensive crap...just like I-pods.

I Agree....ATP3 is a excellent model and is value for money....last time bought one of those for my friend it was for RS 2800/-

2.I segment I belive ALTEC ATP3 has done decent job so far. I bouht ATP3 12 months back & serving my small room with excellent output/thump/sound
