The Xbox 360 is the current champion in the console wars. Wii has more hardware sales, but the Xbox is a better package, it has a huge collection of great games. Xbox live also has one of the best gaming community service and it has some of the great exclusives in the market. This year was very important for Xbox 360. Being very well received in its first year, it had to follow up with an even bigger and better second year for both, critics and consumers. Well, the makers did the best they could and gave the gamers a great year with some of the best titles in gaming history. Let's check out some of the grand titles that were out for the Xbox 360 in this year. Let me tell you that I'm not including COD 4 and Orange Box in the list, but they're as good on the Xbox as they're on the PC. Bioshock Many readers were annoyed about the fact that I didn't include BioShock in this year's top PC games list. Let me tell you that it's purely because I believe Bioshock is more of an Xbox 360 game, and for some good reasons. Not wasting words on justification; let's talk about a game that's so good, it can give some of the best games in history a run for their money. For the many who complained about the gaming being over rated are just plain retards. Bioshock is the best ever game on the Xbox 360. The graphics, the plot, the gameplay -- everything about it has been beyond expectations. It gives you one of the most excellent gaming experiences and should not be missed. 2007 will be known as the year of Bioshock.

Mass Effect Mass Effect is another great RPG adventure from Bioware, and as it turns out, they've done a great job yet again. The game has all the ingredients of a grand RPG, plus it does what most game don't these days -- take a risk. Mass Effect took a risk by introducing the dialogue wheel which involves a lot of talking and interaction while playing the game. Contrary to popular beliefs, the interaction system will be too slow for today's shoot'em up games. The system was well received and it added more depth to the game. A must play for all the Xbox 360 owners.

The list does include great games but some of them are doubtful to me. While 2K's underwater shooter, BioShock, was an excellent shooter, it's execution of the idea it held was mediocre. I also don't think PGR is the best racing series on 360. For me, Forza Motorsport 2 would do the trick as it is much realistic rather than arcade-feel. Mass Effect is undoubtedly, the best RPG on 360 followed by Oblivion. Mass Effect's Star Wars like story not only makes it one of BioWare's best since Knights of the Old Republic, but one of the most cinematic experiences. Halo 3 rules the roost for me, as 2007 was a shooter's year. Assassin's Creed stood up and sold 2.5 million copies only because of the pre-release hype. It was a disappointing game overall, and lacked the promise it had shown in E3 2006 Trailer.

Nintendo Wii has clearly won the console race even though it`s competitor console XBox 360 & PS3 were more powerful than it.It was because of the developers faith that for a console to be successful gameplay is more important than Processing power.And their faith had paid them well as nintendo has reigned its status in console market once again.Unique gameplay+Good games+Price=Success

A game's quality, doesnot depend on the number of sales. So please dont make it sound as, the more the sales, the better the game.

I believe, sales go high once there are good reviews of any game. So there is a decent correlation between sales figures and actual game quality. There are exceptions, which I do not deny.

lets see the game looks as good as it does on PC, the gameplay is the same, no hi-fi graphic card needed plus downloadable content for the Xbox 360 only......u knw what i mean

So if everything is the same, how is it more of the 360 game ??? And no you dont need a hi-fi graphic card for BioShock : http://www.gamespot.com/features/6177688/p-6.html 40 fps with a 8600gt and it costs 5k lol.

How in the world can Fifa 08 be there? Fifa doesnt even compare to Pro Evolution Soccer and they have 2008 which is even better than before FIFA is for people who like arcadish football gaming There is no realness, the game is soooooo slow, Sure, I know that it has eons better graphics than PES but who gives that much of a shit abt graphics, I know that it will look good while playing but cmon anyone wud sacrifice a little graphics for the fantastic gameplay of PES
