As the year comes to an end, let's take a look at which games got all the fame and enjoyed the limelight in the past 12 months.


First Person Shooters

Killzone 2




Killzone 2 was released under much hype and anticipation in the beginning of this year, and although the game has a somewhat lacklustre single player campaign, its multiplayer feature seems to have ensured that Killzone 2 becomes one of the top shooters of this year. Fans of the game swear by its graphical prowess; however others may disagree due to its dark ambience and tired used of limited colour palette of greys and browns. Visual preferences part, Killzone 2 remains one of the most played multiplayer games on the PSN, perhaps second only to Call of Duty.

Hey you bunch of idiots crying for AC2 and Uncharted 2 etc, the article only covers FPS and RTS games. The 3rd person games will be covered in next part. Seriously dudes you don't know how to read? Are you 10 year old retards? If you don't know what FPS and RTS means then quit playing games. Damn fcking morons.

THEY HAVE EDIT THE ARTICLE . EARLIER THEY DID NOT WRITE AS PART 1 AND NOT ALSO FPS ,RTS .

Yeah Seriously Ambar, none have seen that its FPS and RTS only and its clearly mentioned also... Regarding AC2, its just released some days back and people already wanted it within the top games of 2009?Lets the PC verison get released...

Is there a part 2 or something cause frankly the list sucks... Agreed with KZ2, MW2, Borderlands. Disagree with Halo:Wars seriously it SUCKED!!!! And where the hell is Uncharted 2!!!??? It's this years GOTY!!! Even Batman game was awesome and Assassin's Creed 2 is also the best open world game this year along with Infamous.... Lot of great games missing from the list.

Tech tree missed several other games like Assassins creed 2, Dragon age :- Origins, Fear2, Resident Evil 5, Uncharted 2. May be this is the first of the best games list and more listings yet to come. But why did u listed Anno 1404 as most of them not played or heard this game.

Totally incorrect, none of them should even be here... Dragon Age: Origins Assassin's Creed II Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Batman: Arkham Asylum Street Fighter 4 etc, were much much better
