The projector also comes with a password function to prevent unauthorized use, for example when you leave the conference for a short period of time. The password you set has to be four digits and only digits, just like a PIN code for your cellphone. You need to put the password every time you want to use the projector. Beware though - if you forget the password, you have to indulge in a procedure that involves contacting the BenQ service center and furnishing proof of identity and all that stuff!



The PB2250 also comes with a High Altitude mode of operation that you need to use if your operating environment is higher than 3000 feet above sea level, or if the temperature is above 40 degrees Celsius. So if you take it to Bangalore, which is 3000 feet above sea level, you'll need to turn this mode on, but not in Mumbai. Also if you take it to Delhi during summer. In this higher altitude mode, the fans in the projector rotate faster to cool the components better, so this causes the unit to make a little more noise than normal. But even in normal mode it makes almost no noise, so that's not something you'll have to worry about. But something you will need to worry about is keeping stuff around the projector when it s running. As it tends to get really hot, it would be ideal to keep empty space for at least a foot or two behind the unit.



The PB2250 costs Rs 1.20 lakh. Very expensive, but its not for the casual home user who wants to play games and watch movies on a bigger screen at home. It's for business users constantly on the move making presentations. If you can afford it, go for it. If you're undecided between any other projector, maybe this offer they have going on may be of interest to you.
