We performed all our usual benchmarks plus the 3D Mark 03 series to evaluate the power of the notebook for gaming purpose. The base of the laptop gets pretty warm after few minutes of continuous load on CPU, else the laptop hardly heats up.

Dear, I have Acer 5570 aspire version. It has serious problem of inbuilt camera and the microphone is other to add for problems.Even Acer is not able to rectifie these problems uptill now as you can see in lot of blogs regarding these unsloved problems. Try some other brand

The Aspire 5100 is the biggest piece of C**P I have ever seen but if you want to see absolute rubbish try their support!! Do yourself a favour----leave well alone

I don't know about the Service for Acer!! But the Fat Sales Rep at Acer show room in Manipal Center, Bangalore is one big fat liar!! He said that this Laptop comes with 256 MB RAM. And as a "Offer" he will freely upgrade the RAM to 512 MB! Now I have been enlightened! Too late for whine about it now (or read the review). I just hope my friend whom I help buying this Laptop does'nt read this Article ;-) :D

I think Acer 5053wxmi is better with turion x2 tl52, 1GB ram, 120GB HD, Gigabit ethernet etc. etc available for 36,000 in bangalore..

price of this laptop is Rs. 34,500/- in PUNE. if u want to buy then go for 5051 this model having 512 mb memory & laptop price is same.

I was planning on buying the Compaq 3155AU but I am positive its out of production and the company has now released the V3228au as it replacement and thats what i will be buying next week. http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/in/en/ho/WF06b/1090709-1116637-1123071-1123071-1123071-13031696-78203717.html Compaq themselves on their site has said that V3155AU is no more in production. The only drawback I find in the present model is that they have a reflective screen which is very annoying when working with any light in the room. The new model in Cochin is being offered for 31000/- including VAT.

I think that a 3000 N 0768A37 Lenovo is a better option - its got wireless and bluetooth and 512 mb memory too - all for about Rs. 37K. What do you think?

In Hyderabad compaq v3155AU will cost you 34000/- inclusive of taxes and bag.It comes with 512MB DDR2 as standard and Nvidia Go 6150 graphics. Looks much better that Acer. It's not out of production. Techtree, can we have a review of it also. I already own one.

Hey. i bought an aspire 5570 couple of months ago. it works good. it got 1 Gb ram & 120 Gb of hard disk + xp pro as you just mentioned. it got a 256 mb graphic card as well. it cost me approx. 42k . forgot to mention it has wifi + bluetooth + 15.4 in CrystalBrite screen + a built in camera(1.3 mp)& a mike.

Punit Lodaya ji, U forgot to test/review the important function of wireless connectivity of this laptop. This might not seem important to U, but wireless connectivity is primary reason for purchase of laptops by lots of people in India especially students who R provided wiless connectivity on their campuses!! Please make a addendum to the article about this feature !

Wireless connectivity depends on various factors. First being the access point or router itself. We can review those, but not the wireless connectivity of a laptop with limited resources.

Bit heavy ? every 15.4inch laptop wieghs this much yaar !! even the famous Dell 15.4 inch -6400 is this much. For lighter wt reviewer should look at 14.1, 12.1 or even smaller screen ones. This has 44.4 W 4000 mAh Li-ion battery (6-cell) not 3 cell! please do not mislead public!!

No longer regular on TT- but interestingly read notebookreview com review of Sony VAIO FE 15.4"notebook & guess what specification says- Weight: 2.8 kg -I guess that must be the wt of 15.4 inch laptops!! I have an old 8 lb( 3.7kg ) P-III 15inch Laptop given by my uncle- now that is what i call heavy!

I am not looking it as a 15.4" screen laptop. I am thinking it as a portable computer. Thats the true purpose of a laptop, being portable and not 'how large the screen size it is and thus it will become heavy'. I have a different outlook towards a laptop and you have yours.
