Performance

Before we start detailing out the actual performance of Acuta 4S, let s see what RAID is all about.
RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) a disk subsystem that is used to increase performance or provide fault tolerance or both. RAID uses two or more regular hard disks and a RAID disk controller. The RAID configuration offers a perfect combination of total available capacity and data rescue capability, supporting RAID levels 0, 0+1, 5, and RAID 5+hot spare. Of which, RAID Level 5 - Block Interleaved Distributed Parity, provides data striping at the byte level and also stripe error correction information. This results in excellent performance and good fault tolerance, making it one of the most popular implementations of RAID. Hence we decided not to focus testing on a RAID 0+1 array, because those results were sure to be less interesting given the option to use a faster RAID 5 array.

This would have been much better if u ve given some more n easy to understand info on RAID. I doubt how many people will be able to understand raid 5 config.....

who gives a f about RAID ? this is shit expensive and not meant for home users and for more info on Raid 5 you can alwayz google it.

Guys , understand one thing this site is not only for home users. Also why do ppl repel as soon as the price of the stuff is pretty high. Not all stuff cost as much as a Celeron :-)!!!

i own an animation studio and i need a lot of space and backup simulatenously. This product sounds good to me but it is expensive. i will wait till it drops down to 40 or even less.
