It seems that there is a great crop of P45-based motherboards and everything is coming Techtree's way. Manufacturers try to make their motherboards attractive by throwing in exotic features and a plethora of bundled accessories. The ASUS P5Q Pro is one such motherboard that has come to our Test Labs.
Based on the Intel P45 Northbridge and ICH0R Southbridge, this one has features that make it stand out in the crowd. A part of the Climate Savers series, this board features two PCIe slots that lets you maximize the graphics performance by installing two high-end graphics cards in a CrossFireX configuration.

The box looks quite attractive with a lustrous blue color. The features of this motherboard are advertised on the box, as you can see above. :D :D

I am fan of ASUS for its ruggedness. My current ASUS survived lots of short circuit, power faults etc. My Q is - Gigabyte or ASUS, as GB is shown better? When is review of P5K coming which supports DDR3 RAM. Is it worth of extra price if MOBO has DDR3 suuprt?
