Music buffs will be delighted to know that Apple Computer has slashed prices of its most wearable line of iPod -- the iPod shuffle -- in the Indian market. The 1GB shuffle that used to cost Rs 4,500 will now come for Rs 2,300 (local taxes applicable). The company has also introduced a 2GB shuffle that carries a price tag of Rs 3,200 (local taxes applicable)
The fashionable shuffle is available in four colors: silver, blue, green, and purple. It promises up to 12 hours of continuous audio playback, and carries nearly 240 songs on the 1GB model and 500 on the 2GB one. A built-in clip ensures shuffle being your most wearable accessory -- one that syncs seamlessly with iTunes on connecting to your Mac or PC. The 'auto-fill' function of iTunes allows the shuffle to randomly select songs from your music library and sync them. You can listen to your music shuffled or in order, the choice remains yours.
"With most flash-memory music players, users must use tiny displays and complicated controls to find their music; with iPod shuffle you just relax and it serves up new combinations of your music every time you listen," said EY Yeo, senior product marketing manager of Apple Asia Pacific, commenting on the shuffle.

Now here is a good example of "making a virtue out of necessity."
Lack of a display is turned into a strong point. No doubt Eeyore has a bright future!
