iPhone 3GS Jailbreak, Unlock Coming 'Soon'

Apple's freshly launched iPhone 3GS has become a hackable toy for iPhone Dev team. George Hotz, the one who came out with iPhone 3G unlock, along with other mates had stated that the "24kpwn" exploit used for of iPod Touch 2G jailbreak will work for iPhone 3GS jailbreak and unlock.
The iPhone Dev team, in its blog, stated that the existing iPhone unlocking tools like redsn0w and Pwnage Tool can be used to jailbreak and unlock the new iPhone 3GS.
George Hotz, the guy who goes with user name Geohot on Twitter said:
On a personal note, I'm sad. Apple, it took me a week to break through your new defenses. And to let us reuse an exploit like that; 24kpwn was so 5 months ago. Although I imagine it must have been painful watching the devices roll by on the assembly line, knowing they all had a hole in them and you couldn't fix it.
Also, the ultrasn0w software based unlocking method for iPhone 3G can still be usable for iPhone 3GS to unlock it for being usable with any carrier. However, the iPhone Dev team, in a blog post on its official blog, mentioned that it'll get its tools safely work with new iPhone 3GS in sometime.
The cat and mouse game between iPhone Dev team and Apple continues. However, there is no specific time frame announced for availability of iPhone 3GS jailbreak and unlock.
