It's been a couple of months since Yahoo! launched the beta version of its integrated Internet application for Windows Mobile -- Yahoo! Go 3.0. The light-weight, widget-based application aims to offer users the best possible Internet experience on their mobile phones. The company is now out with the latest version of Yahoo! Go 3.0 that has some additional features.
In the previous version Yahoo! Go 3.0, users were only able to view the latest updates in some of the Yahoo! services. Whereas the latest version connects you through your mobile device to Yahoo! services in real time, and lets you view as well as manage them.
The included Yahoo! services are: oneSearch, Yahoo! Calendar, Yahoo! Address Book, Yahoo! Local, Yahoo! Entertainment, Yahoo! Weather, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Maps, Yahoo! Mail, and Flickr, to let you upload pictures from your phone. The application uses widgets to display information from these services.
Yahoo! Go 3.0 also lets users access data uploaded through it from any device. With this all-in-one service, Windows Mobile users will be able to manage their contacts on their phone, and changes that they make could be synchronized with their Yahoo! accounts.
The new beta version comes with a "carousel" interface. It also consists of a new start widget, which gives you a quick view for your latest new emails, calendar appointments, photos, etc. The beta also adds improved searching capabilities.
