Vacation is the time to take a break, chill, explore greener pastures before getting sucked into monotony once again. This vacation, even computer potatoes (if we could coin a word like that!) have reason to smile with LG and Lenovo both raining offers on youngsters.

LG has introduced its "Do X Youth Fest" wherein students can buy laptops or desktops and get assured gifts such as a 5-in-1 color printer, TV Tuner + FM Card, and 2GB pen drive. The company is also running a "Quiz Reward Program" for students who've purchased computers between April 20 and May 31. Registration for the quiz is open till June 10. Participants have to answer a couple of questions on the LG Web site; the prize being a cash reward of Rs 1,00,000 with runners up each standing to win Rs 20,000, Rs 1,000, and Rs 500.

Meanwhile, Lenovo has introduced its offer entitled "Peace of Mind" which is a free warranty upgrade program for a period of one year up to three years on select models including the IdeaPad Y510, Y410 Snowmountain series, and IdeaCentre K200 desktop. The offer is applicable on all purchases between April 15 and May 30 with registration to be done here.

Additionally, Lenovo has announced a special student offer wherein every student with a valid ID card is eligible to win a Puma Sports Kit (bag + t-shirt) over and above the regular warranty offer on purchase of the IdeaPad Y510 or Snowmountain Y410. Besides, for every five references, the company is offering an additional 2GB USB flash drive.
