Wii Outsells PS3 in Japan in June

As per Enterbrain data, while 270,974 units of the Wii were sold in the four weeks ended June 24, only 41,628 units of the PS3 were sold in the same period.
If you thought gaming consoles were through fighting, think again...
Japanese game magazine publisher, Enterbrain, has reportedly revealed that in Japan, in the month of June, Nintendo's Wii outsold Sony Corp's PlayStation 3 by a nearly 6:1 ratio.
As per Enterbrain data, while 270,974 units of the Wii were sold in the four weeks ended June 24, only 41,628 units of the PS3, and 17,616 units of the Xbox 360 were sold in the same period.
Which goes to establish a clear lead for the Wii over and above PS3 as well as the Xbox 360...
Even in May, according to Enterbrain, Wii led the PS3 by a 5:1 ratio, and by 4:1 in April.
If reports are to be believed, there is a contiunous demand for Nintendo's Wii gaming console to the extent that at times, the supply cannot keep up with demand.
Much of Wii's popularity can be attributed to its motion-sensitive controller, the Wiimote that can either be swung around like a baseball bat or wielded like a sword to direct on-screen action
Enterbrain added that not only is the console popular with kids but is also managing to attract adults and singles...

I owe a wii and its amazing , also u can play d old 16 bit games such as contra :P .. A must buy for a family ..u haf games where the whole family can enjoy ..also this year u haf best of the games coming on wii as well..price comparision cud be 1:1.5+:2+ ( wii:xbox:ps3) ..depens on what version of xbox n ps3 u take

hmmm..interestin'..!!! i think the price factor played a big role... Japan was always a PS playground...seems like Wii wants to take over!

It is strange to learn that,the motion sensing remote for the Wii was thought as an obstacle.People said that it would be a dud and now looking at the sales it seems that everyone is liking it.And that has left Giants like Sony and Microsoft thinking about that.Wat was marked as Minnow came as the biggest rival..CooooL..Lets see wat Sony can do in its home town to cover up for the insult.
