Attached with Wii Remote, Wii MotionPlus comprehensively tracks the user's arm position and orientation with the help of accelerometer and the sensor bar.
Nintendo announced Wii MotionPlus for Wii Remote at E3. When attached with Wii Remote, Wii MotionPlus comprehensively tracks the user's arm position and orientation with the help of accelerometer and the sensor bar. After E3, MotionPlus' co-developer AiLive demonstrated one of its tool sets with Wii Remote. AiLive intends to encourage MotionPlus-enabled game development by using the tool set known as LiveMove 2. The ambitious developer dreams of creating a lightsaber fight a la Star Wars.
In the video available at AiLive, its staff is shown playing with "laser sword" for demonstrating the movements and position captured by remote movements with 1:1 tracking. Also on the same page LiveMove Pro videos are available.
