Only a few people aren't smitten with Google mail's (Gmail) simplicity. Are you one of those who start their day as well as wrap up the evening with this little "much-more-than-a-mail" tool? Well, even if you don't but appreciate Gmail on the whole, check out the following newest features Gmail has to offer!
- Colored labels: These help you organize your email better. Just click the color swatch next to each label to assign a color.
- Group chat: Now you can chat with several people without multiple windows. To start a group chat, click 'Group chat' from the 'Options' menu when chatting.
- New emoticons: You can now send richer expressions to your friends instead of the regular semicolon and closing brackets.
- Free IMAP: Now you can sync your in-box across devices instantly and automatically. Whether you read or write your email on your phone or on your desktop, any changes that you make to Google Mail will be seen from anywhere you access your in-box.
- By going to m.googlemail.com, you can get the full Google Mail experience including conversation view, search, and more.
- View as slide-show: You can now open PowerPoint attachments as slide-shows, without having to download anything. Just click "View as slide-show" next to the .ppt attachment you want to preview.
- Embarrassment reducing new message notifications: Ever replied to a message only to find out that someone sent a better, smarter reply right before you? Now, if someone sends a reply while you're in the middle of reading a conversation (or replying to it), you'll get a notification that a new message has arrived. Click "update conversation" to see what you've missed.
- Forward all: When viewing a conversation, you can use the new "Forward all" link on the right if you want to forward the entire conversation instead of just one message.
- Get mail from other accounts: Now Google Mail can check for the mail you receive at your other email accounts. You can retrieve your mail (new and old) from up to five other email accounts, and have them all in Google Mail. Then you can even create a customized 'from' address, which lets you send messages from Google Mail, but have them look like they were sent from another one of your email accounts. Please note that you can only retrieve mail from accounts that have POP3 access enabled.
That's a bunch of new things you can newly do with your favorite Gmail. Of course, many of you might already know about it. But go ahead, spread the goodness; share these features with those you think don't know!

The staff who filed this as news report should be fired. And the editor who reviewed and approved should also be shown the door.
Articles like these are insulting the readers.
