Remember that guy with hair let down -- quite literally -- passionately strumming away at his guitar -- even as classic rock band, Guns N' Roses continued to belt out hits including November Rain, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine, among others... Yes, former lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses aka 'Slash' will put in a cameo as a boss to reckon with in the latest iteration of Guitar Hero, namely, 'Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock'. This was announced by the game's publisher, Activision. Over a decade back, 'Slash' separated from Guns N' Roses saying he could no longer work with fellow rocker, Axel Rose. He then proceeded to deliver music albums such as Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver. In addition to 'Slash' rocking Guitar Hero's latest edition, Activision announced that the game will feature the Guns N' Roses original track, 'Welcome to the Jungle'. Alongside, there will be hits from other rock groups, including The Rolling Stones, Muse, Pearl Jam, and Beastie Boys. Commenting on the development, Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president of Activision Publishing, said that guitar legend 'Slash', together with Guitar Hero III's robust soundtrack and innovative new game features would help strengthen the brand's leadership in the rhythm-action genre. As of now, 'Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock' is scheduled for release on the PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 in fall this year.
