TheWB.com will feature original programming and re-releases of popular series including Friends, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc.
Warner Bros has unveiled two new Internet destinations including TheWB.com, a personalized video-on-demand network, and KidsWB.com -- both sites offering youth-oriented entertainment.
TheWB.com aimed at adults in the age group of 16 to 34 years with emphasis on women, will feature original programming created or acquired specifically for the site, as also re-releases of WB Network's popular series including Friends, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, All of Us, The O.C., Gilmore Girls, The Wayans Bros, Veronica Mars, Everwood, and Roswell. Fans will be able to communicate with each other through community and social networking. To add a personal touch, users will also be able to take ownership of cherished characters and relationships and play with these shows by re-editing, re-mixing, and re-interpreting them.
In addition, Warner Bros has unveiled an application that will launch on Facebook, which allows seamless integration of Facebook's social utility on the site. TheWB.com beta will launch in early May with a wide launch planned for the end of August.
