WD offers ShareSpace in 2TB and 4TB capacities.
Western Digital has introduced a 4TB capacity ShareSpace Network Attached Storage system targeting small and home office businesses. WD's MioNet remote Web access service will allow users to access data from the Web. WD offers ShareSpace in 2TB and 4TB capacities at an approximate price of $700 (Rs. 32,771) and $1000 (Rs. 46,816) respectively.
Collaborating and protecting digital assets of a small and home office can make the best of the built-in FTP server. ShareSpace NAS is a four-bay storage system featuring Gigabit Ethernet that allows multiple RAID configurations and provides up to 4TB storage capacity.
Also, with the bundled Anywhere Backup software, continuous and automatic backup of data can be performed by multiple users. The small and home office businesses can benefit from this easy to set up and use storage system for regular backups.
Western Digital competes closely with Seagate in the hosted storage system market.
