My Book Home Edition does not take up more space than a paperback book, and users can set it up to automatically store and back-up all their memories.
Western Digital (WD) has introduced its smaller and sleeker My Book external storage solutions, including the My Book Home Edition, My Book Office Edition, My Book Essential Edition, and My Book Studio Edition.
My Book Home Edition, according to WD, does not take up more space than a paperback book, and users can set up the drive to automatically store and back-up all their precious memories.
My Book Office Edition has the ability to back-up important data to multiple destinations, and synchronize working files to keep them current and secure. So every time a file is changed on the My Book Office Edition, it gets automatically backed-up. People who are always on-the-move can access files on the My Book Office Edition from anywhere with the included Mionet service.
My Book Essential Edition helps add more storage capacity to home- or office- computers. The drive has a USB 2.0 interface for convenience and compatibility amongst multiple computers, plus SmartPower features for powering the drive on or off with the computer.
My Book Studio Edition is equipped with automatic and continuous back-up software that works in the background, allowing users back-up important projects to multiple destinations, including portable drives, My Book storage appliances, and so on.
All My Book Editions with capacities between 320 GB and 1 TB are available through Champion Computers, Inspan Infotech, and Venktron Digital System. The estimated pricing for this product family is anywhere between Rs 6,000 and Rs 34,000, depending on the model and capacity.

Mybook has the only external enclosure that is well ventilated with slots all around. It's far better than the zippy and advik casings avbl in the market. You cannot use your internal HDD for long (like 7-8 hours) in cheap casings as they get quite hot. WD MyBook is good for such purpose.
