Vodafone Slashes Long Distance, Roaming Tariffs
Techtree News Staff Email Print
May 7, 2008
It's not just Cola wars this summer! Telecom operators seem to be adding to the scorching heat... Hot on the heels of reductions in STD- and roaming- tariffs from Airtel and Reliance Communications (RCom) comes another slash -- this time from Vodafone Essar.

The company yesterday announced a cut in long-distance and roaming tariffs, to be effective immediately. National long distance calls will now cost Rs 1.30 per minute (earlier tariff wasn't disclosed). While roaming, subscribers will be charged Re 1 per minute for incoming calls and local outgoing calls. Long distance calls will cost Rs 1.50 per minute, the company said.
