Virgin Mobile's users in India can now access MySpace at no extra cost on their WAP-enabled handsets starting at Rs. 2,999. To access the social networking site, users need to simply click on the MySpace link on vBytes and log in the user ID and password. There is a daily charge of just Rs. 5 for accessing vBytes.
The partnership with MySpace will allow Virgin Mobile users to send and receive messages, read and post blogs online, browse photos & albums, and so on. In addition, users can keep in touch with family members through Family Tree, network with business contacts and lastly, locate their lost classmates and friends.
The new service is available on vKewl and vSleek, the two WAP-enabled handsets from Virgin Mobile. vKewl is priced at Rs. 3,499 and features video-recording capability, 1.3 megapixel camera and comes with lifetime incoming validity and a prepaid connection. vSleek is an ultra-slim phone priced at Rs. 2,999 and bundled with lifetime validity.
MySpace currently has a worldwide user base of 210 million and an Indian user base of 1.2 million.

This is a very good Idea, as far as Virgin Mobile is concerned. I always appreciated the bussiness statergies of Virgin group, their ideas are as different as Google in their respective fields.
