ViewSonic Launches 20-Inch LCD TV

ViewSonic has launched the 20-Inch LCD TV, the ViewSonic N2010, that features a 16 milliseconds response time.
ViewSonic has announced the launch of its 20-Inch LCD TV, the ViewSonic N2010, that offers multiple connectivity features and a 16-millisecond response time.
The N2010 is capable of delivering life-like images with 450 nits of brightness and a 500:1 contrast ratio. It also offers users with multiple connectivity features including composite component (YPbPr) and S-Video that enables simple connection to cable, game consoles, DVD players and camcorders.
The LCD TV has a 16 millisecond response time, minimizing lag time for moving video and high-speed gaming. It also offers compatibility with EDTV (480p) progressive scan DVD players, along with an advanced processor with reverse 3:2 pull down and 4H adaptive comb filter.
Jeff Volpe, vice president, marketing, ViewSonic, said "Consumers can now expect high quality entertainment at an affordable price when purchasing flat screen televisions for rooms beyond the home's entertainment epicenter"
"With the introduction of the N2010, buyers will enjoy a thin, affordable and stylish LCD TV that produces a vivid video experience for any entertainment environment from the den to the dorm room to an RV, he added.
The LCD TV has an integrated 181-channel TV tuner, for off-air television channels, as well as up to 125 cable channels, two built-in 5-watt audio speakers. The device also offers parental control and closed caption options. The VESA compliant N2010 is wall mountable.
The N2010 will be available at a estimated street price of about $449.

This is good. But I think in India, Samsung offers LCD-TVs(1024X768 native). Going by the revolution this is just medicore. 720p should be the objective for anyone whos buying a LCD-TV from now on. XBOX 60 and PS3 both going HD-TV route is a good signal, good quality and real sharp picture. The only amazing thing is Citizens of US are going to have very cheap LCD-TV which looks real good.

LCDs and HDTVs are dirt cheap in US .. $449 is about Rs 20000, and if it would be available in India, it would be around 80000-90000, .. a 17 " LCD in India costs 20000 and costs $200 in US, which is Rs 9000, so you can imagine.
