Transcend V10 Flash Drive Available
Techtree News Staff Email Print
Feb 29, 2008
Transcend's 16GB version JetFlash V10 USB 2.0 flash drive is now available in the country.

In keeping with the JetFlash motif, the 16GB V10 is stylish, compact, and features a retractable USB connector with lock-switch, making it easier to use the drive as also protecting the connector from damage when not in use.

Around 64 x 21 x 10mm in size and and 11g in weight, the V10 comes with a lanyard/keychain attachment loop, making plugging it in and out of a computer's USB port that much easier.

Like other JetFlash drives, the V10 too, comes with Transcend's JetFlash elite software that has eight useful functions including AutoLogin, PC-Lock, Mobile Favorites, Secret-Zip encrypted file compression, Mobile E-mail, DataBackup, Online Update and the My JetFlash browser.

Transcend claims its elite software is developed to help users manage their data even more efficiently.

V10 supports Windows Vista, Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS 9.0/OS X or later, and Linux Kernel 2.4.2 or later.

It is available through Supertron Electronics and Mediaman Infotech for Rs 4,400, and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Its an amazing product now doubt, but what can be done with a 16GB pen drive? How much information can one want to carry around? 2GB or for that matter 8GB is more than enough i guess

The rate quoted here is way too much than the regular market rates, is the author trying to do some marketing for some overpriced baboon?
