Transcend JetFlash T3 Goes Black

Transcend JetFlash T3 Goes Black

Techtree News Staff, Jan 10, 2008 1450 hrs IST

Measuring 30.3mm x 12.3mm x 2.4mm and weighing 2g, the new T3 is claimed to be more solid and robust compared to other miniature USB flash drives.

Transcend has launched a new Black version of its ultra-compact USB flash drive, the JetFlash T3.

Measuring only 30.3mm x 12.3mm x 2.4mm (L x W x D), the new T3 weighs just 2g, and is more solid and robust compared to other miniature USB flash drives as well as full-sized flash drives, the company claims.

This solid durability is the result of Transcend's COB (Chip On Board) manufacturing technique that molds the flash memory chip and circuit board into the driver's unbreakable polycarbonate casing.

The T3 is made with brand-name NAND Flash chips, and can be directly plugged into any USB slot - no adapter required.

In addition, users can download JetFlash Elite data management tools to enjoy security features such as auto-login, PC-lock, secret-zip, and e-mail data backup.

The drive is compatible with Windows Me/2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS 9.0/OS X and Linux Kernel 2.4.2 or later.

Transcend's JetFlash T3 1GB is available for a price of Rs 700 from Mediaman Infotech and Supertron Electronics.
