Transcend has announced availability of its latest high-capacity USB flash drive -- the 32GB JetFlash V60 -- in India. The company claims it is the first to market 32GB pen drives in the country.
The V60 is about the size of an AA battery -- 61 by 18.6 by 9.8mm, small and light enough to ferry around anywhere. Despite the dimunitive size, the storage capacity (32GB) is huge; so users can store all of their personal files, music, digital photos, and full-length HDTV movies, and still have space for more.
Besides, the JetFlash elite software suite can be installed to run directly from the 32GB JetFlash V60 when you plug it in. The suite includes seven time-saving data management functions including: Web site autoLogin, PC-lock, mobile favorites, secret-zip encryption, mobile email, databackup, and online update. The JetFlash V60 supports Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista, Mac, and Linux, providing seamless data exchange between different operating systems.
The 32GB JetFlash V60 comes in an assortment of bright, pearl-accented colors in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities. The pen drive priced at Rs 7,300, is available from Supertron Electronics and Mediaman Infotech along with a three-years warranty.

So now Transcend is trying to gain back market share lost to Corsair by increasing capacity. The price is way to high anyway. I'm sure Corsair will have some response to this launch.
