Toshiba has demoed the graphic user interface of their latest offering TG01 mobile prototypes based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset. At the Windows Mobile 6.1 launch in London, Toshiba teased their new full- touchscreen 9.9mm slim TG01 sans any buttons. This phone will debut at the Mobile World Congress conference starting Feb 16.

Obviously sporting Windows Mobile 6.1, the Toshiba TG01 is slimmer than iPhone 3G (12.3mm) and the Touch HD (12mm) but uses resistive touch-screen which might bring bundles of criticism. We guess they haven't checked recent Blackberry Storm touchscreen feedback from users. The other features include 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth. It would be great if Toshiba manages to include TV-out port in TG01.

With the Snapdragon chipset capable of running 1GHz totally pwns (slashes) Asus' P565 mobile phone that has 800MHz processor. Also with the resistive 4.1-inch touchscreen, TG01 does have a capability of being a mobile-gaming platform, if game developers notice it.

Last December, Qualcomm revealed its Snapdragon SoC (System-on-Chip) chipset capable of running up to 1GHz. It is based on ARM architecture which has a processor, graphics and 3G network featured on the chipset. It runs on low power and offers instant switch-on to any device.

Toshiba hasn't disclosed anything regarding the launch date of TG01 but hopefully more details will come out at the Mobile World Congress later this month.
