Three Different Handsets from LG
Techtree News Staff Email Print
May 8, 2008
LG Electronics India today announced the launch of three new handsets, namely KF510, KP320, and KP110 targeted at high-end, mid-, and entry- level consumers respectively.

The 10.9mm thick KF510 is an 'exceptionally slim' slider with a unique inner-type slide and a dynamic touch-pad with interactive lighting and captivating animation (the phone is dubbed the "Touch Lighting Phone"). A dark gray metal frame and scratch-resistant tempered glass infuse strength into the phone's slight frame. The KF510 is targeted at all those who'd like their phones to be an extension of their personality. Its 2.2-inches 240 x 320 pixels LCD display is covered by tempered glass and features a light sensor on the front plus power-saving auto-luminance control; its multi-function 3 mega pixels auto-focus camera boasts a start-up time of just one second along with image stabilization, LED flash, and red eye reduction. Rounding out the KF510's features are: an MP3 and MPEG4 player; FM radio; WAP, GPRS, and EDGE; and the ability to record and play back QVGA video.

The KP320, a slim candy bar phone with a stylish leather finish, is an extension of LG's Dynamite Series. Targeted at customers who primarily depend on their mobile phones for camera and music player functionality, the KP320 comes with a 2-inches 262k color 240 x 320 pixels TFT LCD; a 3 mega pixels camera with auto-focus and video recording; speaker phone; document viewer, and email and Internet capabilities; Bluetooth and USB for connectivity; music player with 90MB memory (expandable up to 4GB) and stereo FM radio support; and a 900mAH Li-Ion battery. The KP320 can be hooked up to a television using the TV-out feature to view pictures.

The 'extremely lightweight' KP110 is an expansion of LG's Bullet Series, targeted at first-time phone buyers who are inclined towards music. The phone features MP3 player and FM radio on speaker phone; the ability to store up to 500 phone numbers and 500 SMS messages (LG claims); expandable memory up to 2GB; GPRS and WAP connectivity; and battery life up to 4 hours of talk time and 400 hours standby time.

The three new handsets from LG are immediately available for Rs 12,250 (KF510); Rs 7,990 (KP320); and Rs 2,899 (KP110).

KF510 is not looking as good as its price. Nokia new 3600 slide is much better.
