Nintendo has announced the release date of Wii Zapper almost a year after the launch of its Wii gaming console.
The Wii Zapper will be available from November 19 at an MSRP of US $19.99 (Rs 810).
This will be a single housing for both the motion-sensitive Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, resembling the look of a gun.
Interestingly, Zapper will come bundled with the Link's Crossbow Training , the software based on the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which provides a perfect demonstration of the way the Wii Zapper could be used in other games.
The software puts the gamer into the role of Link, which then progresses through a series of tests to perfect on his crossbow marksmanship.
According to George Harrison, senior VP (marketing and corporate communications) of Nintendo America, veterans and first-time players will find a whole new dimension to games where targeting is the key and provides even more exciting game-play experiences.
Besides, player will also be able to use the Zapper in some of the upcoming title from third party publishers including EA's Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Capcom's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and Sega's Ghost Squad.
