At 9.9mm, KDL-ZX1 is the thinnest LCD that supports 1080p resolution for HD content, and comes with 120 Hz MotionFlow for better imaging with Bravia Engine 2 and rapidly-moving sequence.
TVs just got slimmer with Sony announcing a new TV series to their existing product line. Sony Japan has announced 9.9mm thin LCD HDTV in their ZX1 series. The KDL-ZX1 is a 40-inch panel weighing 12.2kg. At a thickness of 9.9mm, it is the thinnest LCD that supports 1080p resolution for HD content. This ZX1 series model also has 120 Hz MotionFlow for better imaging with Bravia Engine 2 and rapidly-moving sequence.
The KDL-ZX1 display panel has one HDMI port, supports 3000:1 contrast ratio, and 178 degree viewing angle. Along with the panel comes a Wireless HD base station box. However, Sony hasn't mentioned the maximum Wireless HD range. The base station box has three HDMI ports, USB port, LAN port, standard phone support, two component video ports, one S-video port and a VGA input.
