Spore, the most anticipated PC game for over two years, is finally releasing this week, but pirates have other plans. The game is already out on torrent search engines and thousands are already downloading the game. This isn't new, as all PC games are available on torrents a few days before their release date. Gaming behemoth GTA 4 was also amongst the victims of piracy on the consoles, and one shouldn't be surprised when the same happens to the PC version of the same.

Spore does have online features and pirated versions of the game will not be able to avail of these features. Of course, Will Wright's masterpiece (we are pretty confident about the game) will still sell millions of copies, as most of the social features (sharing creatures, visiting other planets) require a legitimate copy, but most games are not that lucky.
