Spice Telecom has introduced a new service that allows its subscribers in Punjab to access the exact status of their VISA application for over 10 countries, including USA, UK, Italy, Canada, France, Thailand, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, and the Netherlands through a simple SMS from their mobile phones. The service works on all handsets, and is extremely convenient to use, said Mukul Khanna, vice president (Marketing) of Spice Telecom during the launch of the service.
To access the service, Spice customers need to type in VISACOUNTRY CODEPASSPORT NUMBER and send it by SMS to 57333 or 50555. Country codes that can be used are as follows:

UK UK
Italy IT
Canada CD
France FR
Thailand TH
Switzerland CH
Belgium BL
Austria AT
Netherlands NL
All Spice post-paid and pre-paid subscribers will be charged Rs 13 per SMS sent using this premium service. Spice Telecom is the brand name of Spice Communications, and presently operates cellular phone services in the states of Punjab and Karnataka.
