Sony's to Launch Flagship DSLR A900 This Year?

The A900 features a full-frame sensor that's 20+ megapixels, and is expected to be a direct competitor to Canon's 1Ds Mark III.
This year's Photokina, to be held later this month at Cologne, Germany, is all set to become the launchpad for several printing and imaging products. One such product will be the Sony A900, which was first revealed at the PMA 2007.
At PMA 2008, the company announced that they plan to launch two DSLRs - A700 and A900, which features a full-frame sensor that's 20+ megapixels, making it the highest level Alpha series DSLR. The A900 is expected to be a direct competitor to Canon's 1Ds Mark III.
Reportedly, a Danish magazine has even published an ad for the yet to be released A900.
At PMA 2007, Sony had disclosed just enough dope about the A900 to get photography enthusiasts talking. We finally have some more details, as divulged by the company.
While other reports on the Internet suggest that the DSLR will also feature a 3-inch Hybrid LCD, Intelligent Preview, 5 fps continuous shooting, and also Sony's SteadyShot image stabilization.
Sony launched the A700 last year, which was also announced at PMA 2007, so perhaps that leaves room for A900 to surface this year? On the other hand, PC world has reported that this camera is expected to be launched next week on September 10.
