Sony PlayStation Portable will get the promised Digital Comics Reader with PSP firmware 6.20 update. This new update weighing 27.6MB is already available for download either from the Sony PSP Software Update page or through Wi-Fi. This update is applicable to all Sony PSP models (1000, 2000, 3000) and PSPgo.

For PSP consoles, firware 6.20 will bring some changes in XMB and add new Digital Comics Reader under Extras. This Digital Comics Reader deals with comics and cartoon strips. The digital content for the same would be available from PlayStation Network. Eric Lempel, director, PlayStation Network Operations, in a blog post at the official PlayStation Blog, announced that the new service PlayStation Network Digital Comics will be launched in December and hundreds of comics would be available for download as purchase or for free. Check out www.playstationcomics.com to try out the free sample from the service and to get more details on the same.

PSP owners will now also be able to import Photo and Video playlists to PSP console using Media Go desktop application. Get the latest Media Go v1.3 to transfer your playlists.

Though Digital Comics Reader has arrived for PSP, it's unsure whether it will support files uploaded from the PC i.e. non-PSN content. That might be possible if PSP hacking community comes up with a workaround enabling that.
