While the C905 is claimed to be a viable alternative to a digi-cam, the S302 is said to be useful for taking pictures that can be shared via Bluetooth.
Sony Ericsson has also launched two new camera phones -- the C905 Cyber-shot, a slider-type phone, and the S302 Snapshot. Both the phones are intended to replace a digital camera. While the C905 is claimed to be a viable alternative to a digi-cam, the S302 is said to be useful for taking pictures that can be shared via Bluetooth.
The C905 has an 8.1 mega pixels camera and Xenon flash. It has a 2.4-inches scratch-resistant mineral glass display. The phone comes with face detection auto-focus, smart contrast, and image stabilizer.
For storing pictures and other data, memory options include a bundled 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2). A USB adaptor (CCR-70) to transfer photos to-and-from a PC is also included in the package.
With this phone, users will also be able to send photos wirelessly to their TV via Wi-Fi (using DLNA), or by connecting with wires using the also just introduced TV-Out Cable ITC-60.
Additionally, users will be able to upload photos to their own Blog site, or print photos up to A3 size. Also, GPS-enabled for geo-tagging of photos and navigation support has been provided with the C905.
The C905 is a powerful 8.1 mega pixels camera phone that looks, feels, and acts like a real camera, says Sony Ericsson. The phone will come in three variants to support different networks. It will be available in three colors -- Night Black, Ice Silver, and Copper Gold in select markets from Q4 2008.
In comparison, the S302 Snapshot is for those who want it all at an affordable price -- good looks, must-have features, and a pocket-sized slim design, says the company.
The S302 is a high-gloss finish phone that sports a 2.0 mega pixels camera with an easy-to-learn camera menu. Sony Ericsson claims that users will be able to treat the S302 just like a digital camera.
The phone comes with photo function features like Photo light and Photo fix; video recording and playback; and up to 20MB internal memory and Memory Stick Micro (M2) support. Photos can be transferred via USB, Bluetooth, or Memory Stick Micro.
According to Sony Ericsson, the C905 Cyber-shot phone and S302 Snapshot phone are all-round performers that maximise the company's camera credentials. While the S302 introduces a premium looking, yet affordable phone with a snapshot camera at-hand when needed, the C905 is a powerful 8.1 mega pixels camera phone that looks, feels, and acts like a real camera.
The S302 Snapshot will be available in Crystal Blue and Thunder Grey in select markets from Q4 2008. The S302 (and S302c for China markets) will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900. There's no information regarding pricing of these phones.
Being a Sony-Ericsson fan I bought a new S302 however face the following issues!!
-ve
1) Battery Life: standby - 9hrs talk time - 1.5 hours - tried changing the resolution and even switch off screen saver stuffs.. which is of no use!!
2) Cam: 2mp - What producers said about cam is just exaggeration. I found my 810i far better!
3) Comparatively low ring volume
+ve
The look and finish
Please let me know if some one found a way to overcome the -ve's

Here's the deal - Sony Ericsson C905 will launch in INDIA in Q4, has a 8mp camera and is gonna cost Rs. 18K.
WOW. If they can lower it to 15K, its gonna sell a lot and I mean, A LOT!
The price of the C905 is 19500. It may vary nearly 500-800 depending upon the locality, as its not availble in stocks, as per the demand.
I will suggest to hold on for few days as the supply increases from SE and as SE has promised it will be nearly 18K.
Better go for HTC P3300, excellent value for money. Loaded with features.
