Sify Launches Third City Portal

Sify.com has launched www.hyderabadlive.in, its third Broadband city portal after mumbailive.in and bangalorelive.in.

As the name suggests, www.hyderbadlive.in is about Hyderabad, and will allow access to local content, spanning happenings in Tollywood, music, the hottest hangouts in the city, and more.
Sify.com says 'Net Jockeys' will present video capsules encompassing news, shopping, careers, etc.
The Broadband Web site will also feature live video feeds from traffic Web cams stationed at key junctions of the city with a view to helping commuters.
Significantly, the portal is intended to facilitate communication, spurring discussion and debate on various issues that affect the city. As an extension of this aim, an SMS facility will help people send greetings to friends and loved ones. The greetings will scroll across the home page as part of a ticker for near and dear ones to view.
Speaking at the launch, Raju Vegesna, Chairman & Managing Director of Sify Limited, said www.hyderabdlive.in is yet another step forward in their objective of building strong city-specific communities, and catering to local information needs.
