Forget Baba Bangali and all that spam in your in-box promising instant gratification and sexual improvement, what if you could buy software scripts and run programs to do everything you ever fantasized.

Sounds funny but that's exactly what some scripts in Second Life (the wildly popular virtual world) are capable of helping users do. Recently though, this virtual haven witnessed a real-life copyright infringement lawsuit being slapped against one 19-year-old Robert Leatherwood who dared to steal such scripts from another developer, then selling them for "a little money".

The story so far: Florida-based entrepreneur Kevin Alderman (46) happens to be among the first in Second Life to spot the need for people to equip their online avatars -- such that they start looking like harmless Barbie dolls gradually escalating to being full-bodied sex toys (with realistic genitalia and all that). Alderman's ideas got him enough money to quit his real-world contracting job at Eros (Florida). Naturally, he got very angry when young Leatherwood stole his ideas and his scripts and started making much moolah out of them. The result: he slapped a suit against Leatherwood in July last year.

While the lawsuit didn't graduate to becoming a major case nor were there any penalties involved, it did put an end to the 19-year-old thief selling scripts. For the rest, Leatherwood is lucky for Alderman has decided to 'move on'. Neither has the original perpetrator of such erotica (read: scripts) given any inkling as to whether his company will continue to sell the 'genitalia and positioning' scripts within Second Life. But there'll always be sellers as long as there are buyers. No matter what, sex always sells, whether in real or virtual!
