SatNav Technologies has now introduced voice prompts in eight languages including Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, and Telugu for consumers to get directions on GPS devices while driving.
This will help all those who aren't familiar with English, enabling them navigate by feeding in details after listening to instructions in the language of their choice. Besides, language options will be available across platforms such as PDAs, PNDs, phones, laptops, and desktops. Customers who're covered by existing upgrade plans will receive the new package free of charge.
Additionally, SatNav will offer maps in HLG or high level graphic mode helping SatGuide perform faster than the original version. SatNav claims points of interest (POIs) are now displayed at a significantly faster rate than before. If you should take a wrong turn, SatGuide would re-calculate your route for you within a matter of seconds, claims SatNav.
