Samsung Telecommunications India (STI) has announced the launch of its latest handset, the Guru200, which offers FM recording as a new feature in the entry-level segment, the company said. In February this year, Samsung had introduced the Guru100 handset.
The Guru200 is a sleek bar-type dual-band phone with stereo FM radio and a recording feature. With this handset, users can not only record songs from FM radio (max up to 5 minutes) but also save them as alarm or ring tones.
The phone offers multimedia features such as speaker phone, MP3 ring tones, and Java games (Cricket and Sudoku), and consumer-friendly features like emergency SMS, mobile tracker, 9-hours talk time, and several India-specific features. There's pre-loaded Bollywood ring tones, an Indian calendar that displays local holidays, a Hinglish database to enable users communicate in the popular blend of Hindi and English, and call time limit to allow users personally set a talk time limit per month.
The Guru200 is immediately available for Rs 2,999.
FM recording may have some legal issues as new movie songs are played and this kind of recording can help spread more piracy.
First you record from the FM--->save it on your mobile device--->transfer to your PC and share it with everyone.....
One does not need to buy any original music...with the advent of these devices

kis yug me jeete ho, FM se full song record nahi hota, wise peoples don't pass blames on others....... Agar aap ko pata nahi to rai dene se pahle pucho
nah... theres nothing illegal in recording fm streams... and its nothing new either, people have been recording fm progs into their audio cassettes since ages... even from the sw/mw era.
And more over there's something called quality... dont expect these fm recorders to deliver cd audio.
As per my knowledge whats illegal is capturing or recording premium internet radio streams.
At 2999 it is too expensive- but the market price is 2400- at this price it is a good deal. TT please do not get into habit of quoting inflated MRP.
