Resident Evil 5 for Wii? Not Really!

Sega President Simon Jeffrey had a 'slip of the tongue' when he mentioned Resident Evil 5 for Wii in an interview.
During an interview with Kotaku at E3 last week, Simon Jeffery, Sega President, had an 'accidental slip of tongue' to reveal that Resident Evil 5 is coming for Wii. Enthused with the media response at E3, he said, "Resident Evil 5 - when that happens on the Wii, that's really going to help". Shocked, Kotaku cross-checked with Nintendo, they received a lightning response of "not yet" from Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime.
Capcom's Chris Kramer was surprised and said, "Have you seen Resident Evil 5?" when inquired upon the same. Of course, after watching the Resident Evil 5 trailer, it's understood that its transition to Wii is next to impossible. He concluded that Simon Jeffery perhaps confused Resident Evil 5 with Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. However, the fact is Capcom's Resident Evil 4 was ported to all popular gaming platforms.
During this entire episode Jeffery admitted to his 'slip of tongue' and responded via email, "We'd been discussing the Resident Evil 5 showing at the Microsoft event earlier, and it was still on my brain - that's all." Oops! Guess interviews make everyone nervous.

I agree, RE4 on the Wii was one of the most engaging games ive ever played, partly because its a well designed game with a good story, but also largely because of the great way the controllers work, particularly the shooting aspect.

it if was possible, even if they had to cut back on the graphics a bit in order for it to run on the Wii. id still buy it. In fact id buy it for the PS3 and the Wii. Obviously the graphic capabilies are far superior with the PS3 but the controls would on the Wii would make up for the loss in graphics. RE4 on Wii was far better then the other versions on Gamecube and PS2 for that simple reason.
