Plugging-in their USB storage device to the USB port on the Philips Hi-Fi system, users can play formats, including WMA, MP3, cassettes, and radio.
Philips Electronics has announced what it claims is the country's only Rip-All AZ1856 Sound machine that enables users convert their favorite CDs and cassettes to MP3 music with just the touch of a button.
The Rip-All provides users the option to rip music from cassettes, CDs, and FM Radio to MP3. The same can be downloaded, and played back through USB flash drive or MP3 players. Philips claims that with this gadget, music lovers no longer run the risk of losing any of their songs.
The Rip-All enables one-touch MP3 recording, where users can plug-in their USB storage device to the USB port on the Philips audio system to start recording their favorite music from CDs, cassettes, and FM radio to their USB device or MP3 player with just one touch. Plugging-in their USB storage device to the USB port on the Philips Hi-Fi system, users can play formats, including WMA, MP3, cassettes, and radio.

this can be done on a home computer anyways with more control over the encoding process!! its just a gimmick.. all u need is a line in jack to connect your cassette player and a software like audacity that records.. many softwares and even freeware help with this!! i wouldnt buy it!

This looks interesting. Does it contain some feature for noise reduction/cancellation too? Noise reduction feature will be important to rip audio cassettes / FM radio. Many software tools on computer come with noise reduction filters.

May be this helps all those who do not have computers but wanna convert and store their favourite songs as MP3. Good feature at this price. Hope the features work as they claim.

Even a ToI could have put such a review, what additional info is Techtree giving? I expected a more technical review from 'Tech'tree. What about details about bitrate (whether fixed or variable, 128, 160 etc.) ;availability of noise reduction, other effects; whether ripping is 1x, 2x etc.; whether there is a limitation on memory size supported .
