Panasonic Unveils Internet-enabled Plasma TVs

Internet-enabled PZ850 can directly stream web content onto the VIERACast HDTVs without a separate set-top box.
After a delay, Panasonic has introduced Internet-enabled plasmas, PZ850 series, available in 58-inch and 65-inch screen sizes. The PZ850 series adds up to the Internet-enabled plasmas with VIERACAST Technology that directly streams web content onto the VIERACast HDTVs without a separate set-top box.
Users can watch videos on YouTube in full mode and check images from Google's Picasa. The PZ850 features Pro Setting Menus for calibration, and Digital Cinema Color Re-Mastering.
The PZ850 features 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 24p native reproduction, Game Mode, an SD card slot, four HDMI ports and PC input. The PZ850 models are priced at $4000 for the TH-58PZ850, $7000 for the TH-65PZ850 and will be made available later this month.
