The Penny Arcade Expo has come a long way since it started in 2004. This years Omegathon -- a three-day elimination tournament for tabletop, console and computer games -- comes with some really big returns.

As a participant you have to play through 5 rounds of gaming, consisting of games from different genres. Last year the tournament ended with a Halo 3 multiplayer match-up, fans got to see some amazing Halo 3 footage and a lucky and skilled winner went home with some serious moolah. This year's Omegathon consisted of the games like Boom Blox, Rock Band 2, Geometry Wars, and Excite Bike.

We think that Excite Bike is an excellent choice for the Omegathon, brings back some good memories, 8- bit gaming you are still missed. The winner Joey Gecko won a cool $5000 (more than Rs 2.1 lakhs) and a trip to TGS in Jan. One must appreciate the spirit of gaming at PAX 08, its not everyday that one gets to see an old classic revived.
